Have an interview tomorrow morning at 11am with Kolh's. Blame Phyllis, she gave me the impetus. Been retired since 5/62 with no earned income with the exception of a few consulting jobs. We want to have the windows to the porch removed and have French doors installed in their place, also have the porch winterized and have sunlights installed in the porch roof. This way we can enjoy the lakeview year round. Retirement is great except for the fact that money out of the bank never goes back. I have big plans for the money I haven't made yet...I could probably make more per hour at Atlantic City...hey...not a bad idea.

Hey Charlie...great news. I hope it's full time with over-time. This way you'll be too busy to jump on my back when I post religious stuff. Let me know if you need a character reference! HEE HEE....JUST KIDDING! We have a new Kohl's opening just up the road. Not my kind of store though. If they don't sell camera's, T.V., and all kinds of high tech electronics......I don't go in.
Maybe you can get a nice employee discount on a new raincoat.
Good luck!

Don't know what job I'm interviewing for they have a number of openings including house cleaning ( politically correct title for porter). Barry, I wouldn't mind the ladies department...you just tell them they look MARVELOUS in that outfit. Or that coat was made for them as it sweeps the floor. I have the gift of that Irish Blarney.

:)Good luck with your interview tomorrow. Hope you find something worthwhile that pays a decent salary so you can proceed with all your new projects - they sound great.
I shop at Kohl's alot! I did when I was on Long Island in New York and I still do in Northwest Indiana. Usually wait for their "senior citizen discount day"!

Good luck Charlie with the interview. Knowing you, you will get the job because you are such a charmer. HOWEVER, please be very careful 'do not wear the raincoat' or ask anyone if they would like to see the arrow or was that Jimmy's line? Good luck my friend.

Got the job...Monday, I go for drug screening and Tuesday I start training at 6:30pm. Wednesday I start... hours are 6am to noon...30 hours a week maximum. I'll be filling the racks with the merchandise prepared by the night crew...definitely not brain surgery.

Happy for you. It will keep you busy, when Johanna does not have any plans for your Honeydo. Plus it will make her happy because she can get more things done in your new home.. [glow=red,2,300]GOOD LUCK[/glow]

CONGRATULATIONS CHARLIE ON YOUR NEW JOB.
THAT JOB IS BETTER THAN SWEEPING THE SUN OFF THE ROOF OR CARRYING BUCKETS OF STEAM.
THOSE TWO WERE 'SMOKIES' FAVORITE JOBS HE USED TO TELL US. SITTING AROUND THE ANVIL GARAGE ALL OF US SMOKING DENOBILI ITALIAN CIGARS. COUGH COUGH. THEY WERE GREAT NOT!.
YOU REMEMBER SMOKIE, HE WAS JUNIOR DAO AND JO JOS FATHER.

Yesterday I had to take a test....Drug Test...I studied for two days. And I was able to pee in the cup...think I passed. This evening is Orientation, I guess that means learning to read all the labels from the Orient. I start tomorrow morning at 6am...my wife and kids are running a pool to see how long I last. My son says 3 hours. I thought about working at Shop-Rite; but, that requires lifting heavy boxes. I hope I get assigned to Ladies Lingerie.

Charlie, My friend started 4 years ago at Home depot, he loves it, it gives him something to do. He brings the carts in, and other small lil' things, he said it is great. And no heavy lifting.
