Went to a play in Merrick, Long Island, today to see a friend in it -- And so I drove in from NJ, thru Staten Island, Swamplynn, and Queens... (There was major tieups at the GW Bridge this afternoon (Yankee game I guess)
Anyhoo, the drive there SUCKED -- it took me three hours to get there (i was late to the play) -- While in traffic (luckily with my wife), i realized that there is ALWAYS traffic in those boros... I used to commute to Long Island 10 years ago, and it was always congested... And today -- a Sunday at 1 was worse
The Bronx had bad traffic, but nowhere near the problems there... (ok, except maybe the Cross Bronx) -- You dont know how much I appreciate living in NJ after this -- Traffic is bad sometimes, but its not ALWAYS bad... every time i go into those boroughs, its at least 2 hours sitting in traffic....
I was less than 1/2 mile near Coney today, and I had time and wouldve been interested in going, but there was no way I was losing my place in line in traffic...
