One thing I'd love to try that I never got the chance to do is snow ski. Has anyone of you ever gone snow skiing? I know there's alot of nice places in upstate New York where one can go skiing.

I went snow skiing when I was about 19. Went with a group from work to Upstate New York. It was fun, but I fell alot and when they were towing me up on the rope, one leg went to the right and the other went to the left so I let go of the rope and fell. It was either letting go and falling or being torn apart. After that experience, I spent most of the time in the lodge where it was cozy and warm. I never went skiing after that. I know people love it, but I'll stick to ice skating!

Lenny I would have liked to try sking also but when I was younger. At this age I'd be a bit to cautious and that would lead to getting hurt.

My idea of a snow ski weekend is sitting in the Lodge in front of the fireplace with a hot toddy and watching all the broken limbs. No skiing for me. I can't eve ice skate.

Went up to Vermont years ago... Had lessons (horrible instructor) on the kiddie (not calling it bunny) slope, and as I was about to go on the big boy slope, the paramedics came down with some guy on a stretcher sled... As they passed by, i guess the dry air from the mountain kicked in, and had the mother of all nosebleeds...
I took that as an omen and havent been on the slopes since...

No skiing for me. Sitting in a lodge would be my choice but never even did that.

I'm with you Phyllis, but I never have done that either.
We went snowmobiling many years ago in the Poconos, that was great fun!
