I have checked out the new Veterans' Tribute page and am overwhelmed by it all. Words will never come to my mind to express how I feel about seeing my dad and his brothers' on this page. It somehow brought them all back for me for a little while.
My dad and his brothers were wonderful men. They had a rough beginning in life and all made good lives for themselves. My uncle John, after the war, joined the NYPD and retired as a Captain, I believe, in bunko squad. He later became a VP of a NY bank in charge of fraud and security. He was the baby of the Colleton boys.
Lenny, thank you for thinking of this tribute and for asking us to share. Again, I cannot find the words. I will simply ask God to bless you for this wonderful piece of work.
My dad would have been proud to see this as would his brothers. The Colletons' are all together now in Heaven with their step-sister, Margaret and I know they are all looking down on this and thanking you as well.

Lenny, I can't tell you how I felt to see your web site Tribute to our Vets. When my dads picture came up my heart swelled with pride. He and his 4 brothers were made of strong stuff which is not availeable. I know Fran sent you the pictures but my mom had two brothers who served in Germany, Richie Moore and Raymond Moore, I don't know if there are pictures but they should be included in the honor rool.

If I can come up with a picture of my father, I will send it to you. He was in the Navy during WWII. My brothers probably have all the pictures. I will look though. Again, you did a great job.
