I have been informed that my daughter-in-law's 19 year old daughter (by a previous marriage) is going to have a baby. This will be a bi-racial child, and she is not married to the baby's father. I applaud her for not choosing abortion, which she could have done and not told anyone, but this will be a difficult situation. I will give all the support I can. I guess this makes me great grand-ma??
Daddy to be is 22 years old and works in Linen's and things. This is the 5th job he has had in the last year. Not a very stable person, but maybe this will be an awakening. Daddy needs a good job to support little baby.

bi-racial does not concern me, just thought I would mention it. Can't hold a job and not married are my concerns. The only reason I included bi-racial is that it is a factor in a child without a legal father. I hope that they will marry, and I for one will support them.

Just thought I'd ask. The big concern is not being able to hold a job. Mother and child need support financial and the father figure. If he can't hold a job it shows he's not responsible

Three of my great-nieces and nephews are bi-racial children of a relationship, not a marriage, with a man who has been in prison for selling drugs, several times. This is my brother's daughter. My mother loved these children as her great-grandchildren but she never accepted the convict who fathered them nor have any others in the family. The children are wonderful gifts from God. Sad that this young woman chose a father for her children who is a loser and who will likely never marry her. Just my own humble thoughts on the matter.

Hat's off to this young lady for not taking the easy way out through abortion. She's accepting responsibility for the choices she made and with support from the family she will do fine raising the child.
