A pregnant mother in Ohio was arrested for stabbing herself in the stomach killing her fetus after an argument with her boyfriend.
The prosecutor said they cannot charge her with homicide because she killed a fetus which is also done through abortion which is legal and a mother killing her fetus amounts to the same thing.
Are we opening a can of worms here? Will this now become a trend with mothers of unwanted pregnancies?

I think there's alot more going on with her mental state. A rational person would never choose this method as a form of abortion.

Terrible. I think I have to agree with Charlie. No one in their right mind would choose that way to abort a child.

Of course this woman is ill but to kill your child because you are angry at the father? I don't know. Just how many people get off when they commit horrendous crimes because they are mentally ill and they are actually sociopaths who know right from wrong but do it anyway? I am tired of the mental illness defense. Your own baby??? Before it is born? How absolutely horrible.

i just heard on the news, that some woman in a park chocked her 10 year old daughter and thought she was dead but she just passed out, then she stabbed herself to death, and when the daughter woke up she started screaming for help, it is unbeleavable

Over the years, crimes have become more and more hideous and heinous and somehow society has become desensitized to it all and in many cases accepts these things as the norm.
There's a old saying.........
"When we accept the outrageous as normal, we just move to the next level."
It seems what was unthinkable 20 years ago is normal today.
