What a day!! What a crowd!! What good food!!
Before the apples are picked, there is a tail-gate breakfast dough nuts, bagels, rolls, coffee, tea, etc.
After apples are picked (this year in the rain) everyone goes to my sister's house. I don't go to the orchard (too many bugs and what would I do with a bag of apples??), but I do go to my sister's house.
Now ponder this: my brother-in-law is one of 9 children, all born in the Bronx, ranging in age from 60 to 39. There are (I think) 21 grandchildren, ranging in age from 30 to 3. Then 2 great grand children ages 3 & 1. Now if that's not enough, we have some friends, an aunt & uncle, me, my Mom, my nephew-in-law's dad and step-mom, who just happen to be friends of mine. My children couldn't make it this year, they had to work (yuck).
Only us old folk could use the indoor facilities, the children had to use the porta potty provided for the occasion.
A good time was had by all.

:)We went apple picking yesterday also. Had a great time. They took us by a tractor out to the Orchard and then let us off where we picked all sorts of apples. We are going to make some apple pies. We also bought some pumpkin glazed donuts - delicious.
There was a corn maze there too which we went through - was fun.
We bought nic-nacs as they have a huge barn where they sells all sorts of odds and ends for Halloween.
All in all, a good time was had by all.

My daughter & grand-daughter & fiancée went apple picking yesterday and she bought pumpkins for all of us. Valerie is now making apple pie. I stopped on the way home from work and picked up Indian corn and mums for us.
Today I will start to put the pool floats away so that Sat. afternoon the pool will be covered. Amen.

Phyllis, what if it gets warm enough again for swimming? ? No No Fran, it is past the time that this pool be closed. The water was 60 yesterday and I was not going to turn on the heater. I put all the floats & tubes and 2 umbrella's away . Lined up the chaise lounges and by the weekend I will have them covered and that is it for this year. Oh one more umbrella has to go away and that will happen by Sat.

Phyliss, This weekend my grandkids were in the pool as usual. The pool is heated but Friday about 7pm, when I stopped over, there were 3 of them in the pool.
