Went there many a Sunday in 1959/60. Met many fine young Catholic ladies there, the dances were sponsoed by the CYO. I had a DeSoto Firedome at the time so rides home were available with a stop at the Botanical Station paking lot of the NY Central.

Never permitted to go to dances. Tarzan live sheltered life. Tarzan turned 18 and retreated to jungle to dance with Jane. Tarzan dance too close to Jane and now two children and three grandchildren later, Tarzan not dance anymore.

Can't believe you lived a sheltered life Tarzan. Doesn't Jane like to dance? You two should get out there a "kick" a little!!! It's fun!

:)For any of you who don't know about Cresthaven, it was just over the Whitestone Bridge in Queens. It seemed everyone who graduated from the St. Helena's dances, moved onto Cresthaven.

Yes, and we danced to the song sung by Frank Sinatra called "Strangers In The Night." We were indeed strangers. Both virgins and scanning the book on "HOW TO" by Dr. Ruth Westheimer. Nine month's later......our daughter was born. Tarzan plenty potent!

:)How many of you gals and guys out there went to Cresthaven??? I only went once, in Oct '67. I met my first wife, Joan, there. She failed to mention that she lived in B r o o klyn, until it was too late!! I drove her, and her two girlfriends home to Bayridge that rainy night. We had to get married - I couldn't afford the tolls and drive time from Brklyn to upper Bx. 38 yrs later, and we still have never returned to Cresthaven.... what does that say?! Oh, almost forgot, either my sister, or one of my brothers (can't remember....big family, lotsa weddings) had their wedding reception at Cresthaven in the late '50s.
