Got a friend at work who grew up in Inwood (he's about 50) and he used to frequent a pub over at 204th & Broadway, but cant remember the name of it, and its driving him crazy.. (not that its a far trip)
Anyone know the names of the bars over there?
Thanks

I know where you can find your answer quickly....use the Manhattan Board link over at the BB. The regulars on the Manhatan Board are 99% ex Inwood folks. I guarantee someone will know the name of that pub

Was it Mannions? I remember several Bars in Inwood. When I was involved with Republican/Conservative politics, we had our meetings in Inwood. I actually ran for Assembly for my district back in the late 60's. Wish I could remember the bars. One had a nick name, bucket of blood and it was an Irish bar. Maybe Helen might know but she was married young and probably didn't hit the bars as much as I did.

Was it the Inwood Lounge? I don't think the Inwood Lounge was known as a Irish bar.

No not at all...back in the late 60's, one of the the Bronx Catholic HS hangouts was the Kilarney Rose on Webster just off the corner of Fordham.....I'm sure I could have found a Mount gal in there if I was looking
