Well, spent another few hours with Rose and Barry at our neighborhood pool. We had a chance to cool off and talk about old times and friends found because of the internet.
They are reallly enjoying their stay here but I am sure Barry will have lots to tell about when they get back to New Jersey.
One thing we both noted today was how wonderful it was to find out that people we met at the Bronx Candy Store are just as we expected, just great.
Cannot tell you how really terrific Barry and Rose are. We so much to talk about that wasn't about the Bronx. So much in common.
I am going to pray that they can sell their place in New Jersey fairly soon and opt for a place here in the Villages. Seemed to me that they are both quite taken with it and with the friendliness of the people down here. We weren't in the pool more than ten minutes when one of my neighbors started to talk to Rose and then another joined in like they knew each other for a long time.
Retirement is wonderful but retirement here is absolutely fantastic!
Can't wait to post some of our photos from their visit. Wishing them a safe trip back home!!!

Fran, Looks like you may get your wish that Barry & Rose settle in Fl. Glad that the 4 of you enjoyed your time together. We really do have a nice bunch of poeple on the BCS. When is Barry leaving to come back to N.J.?

They plan to head back to NJ on Tuesday morning. The only thing that can get in the way of the move is real estate in New Jersey.....as it is elsewhere. Rose was sold immediately and to be truthful, I think Barry was as well. They are nice people and it would be great to have them as neighbors. They selected the model they like and then will decide if they want one just being built or one that is previously owned. Lots' to be said for each type so lots to think about.

I'm sure Rose is a wonderful person, but I'm not too sure about Barry. How can you trust a man who is so anti Yankees that he will root for anybody but them! They just won again and A-Rod hit number 52! Fran- I'm so glad you enjoyed your visit, but I'm not at all surprised. I was telling somebody about the BCS and I said that I would welcome and trust any one of the members in my home without having met you formally. I feel that if I were ever in your neighborhoods, I would call and try to get together. What a great feeling to have about a group of people!

Liz, I have to agree with you about the folks here. I'm gonna give Barry a pass, he takes enough abuse from me on the Yankee threads

Quite honestly, any of you are welcome to stop by. Just give us a call...we are in the book...to be sure we are home. You might know that we are out quite a bit doing the things we enjoy. I think nothing would be better than to ultimately meet all the wonderful folks at the BCS....and Tarzan, I would even welcome you provided you were dressed appropriately and I don't mean a fig leaf!!!!!

You especially, Lenny. I always wanted to meet a marine who was a virgin till age 24, swings like Tarzan and can't keep his head out of the clouds long enough to understand that the Devil Rays make true Yankee fans giggle.

OK, I'm going to be serious for a second and then I'll swear I never said it. Lenny, I really think you are one of the best people I have ever known. Not because of your religiosness, or your incredibly good looks, not because of your wit or great ability to help people with the BCS, but because of the type of grandfather you are. In an imperfect world, where kids sometimes get lost in the shuffle caused by the adults around them, your little ones have tremendous stability, enthusiasm and unconditional love. All that and pancakes, too! How good can childhood be? Congratulations to you and your wife, Lenny. Job well done!

Fran I just got a letter from The Villages offering 10% of your homes purchase price in furniture from Southern Lifestyles Home Furnishings untill Sept. 30 (ie. $250.000 home gets you $25,000 in furniture) if you see Barry again pass the word.
