This guy protects my entry... we call him Sir Loin..... The Knights Templar venerated St George as a warrior saint during the 3rd Crusade. Armor is uncomfortable.... but come the Apocalypse....

I don't remember celebrating St. George's Day. I was brought up in the Protestant Episcopal church. My father was a Protestant Episcopal minister in Brooklyn, NY. (I'm a minister's daughter ).

I went to Catholic schools, from kinder garden through college. I also don't remember ever celebrating St. George's day. It seems to be more of a European tradition. The only thing I remember hearing about St George is that he slayed a dragon...!!!?? I friend of mine posted about the day, and it struck a bell with my armor...
