HOW IS EVERYONE HERE DEALING WITH THIS NOROVIRUS SITUATION? ARE YOU STAYING HOME? I talked to my DR today on another subject-gout. He told me that if I had any additional shortness of breath that I should go to the ER, asap, based on my history. I've been self quarantined for weeks. OTOH, my wife has been doing all the shopping. I'm not overly concerned at this point. Truly, the flu has been been a bigger problem for years, with not nearly the fanfare... Still, not something to fool around with. In 2007, I caught the flu and wound up in ICU within 24 hrs. I was intubated, and placed in an induced coma for 10 days. A total of about 12 weeks in hospitals. Still working on the effects... so I am wary..

pegleg, Sorry to hear about your health problems. You probably have a weak immune system. Is there nothing that can be done to build up your immune system???

pegleg, Sorry to hear about your health problems. You probably have a weak immune system. Is there nothing that can be done to build up your immune system??? Thanks Mimi. Actually, I am very thankful that I am doing so well. There are so many others with much worse conditions. The time I caught the flu, I had been putting off getting the flu shot. Now I get that shot every year. Also, I get the pneumonia shot -I think that is good for either 2 or 3 years. As far as building up immunity, ? I do stay away from crowds as much as possible, washing hands regularly, etc. I have to say that before that bout of pneumonia, I felt my immune system was pretty good.... who knows? Watch yourself and get the shots.
BTW, I had the flu in 2017, not 2007 as I said in the earlier post.
