Why Food Prices Are Sky Rocketing

1. Farm equipment and transportation are feeling the increase in fuel costs.

2. Grain is going toward making ethanol in increasing amounts. This drives the price up for grain and animal feed which effects grain, meat and poultry prices.

3. The US $ is worth less abroad which allows foreign food conglomerates to offer more for our grain and meat than US companies can pay.

4. These sales are being made to foreignors by the same farmers
that get paid subsidies by us through the US Government when prices are too low.

5. I say screw the foreignors. the farmers and the tree huggers. Keep the food here, forget about making ethanol...China's not worried about the atmosphere they're burning coal in record amounts. Forget giving our surplus grain to starving people...the bandits steal it from them and sell it to them. When the world gets hungry enough they'll pay us with oil for food. Let's stop screwing the average American...we can't afford to feed the world.

Well said Charlie..............If we don't start taking care of ourselves now, who do you think will come to our aid when we are in need? The countries we aided all these past decades? I think the world is just waiting for the U.S. to fall on its A$$ so it won't be the "Super Power" anymore. It's a world conspiracy to destroy the American economy and when the dollar dies, who will come to our aid? America.......WAKE UP!

THERE ARE EVEN COMMERCIALS ON TV ABOUT FEEDING OTHERS. THERE HAS BEEN ONE FOR "FEED THE CHILDREN" FOR MANY MONTHS NOW. THEY SAY THEY HAVE TONS OF RICE TO SEND TO STARVING CHILDREN AND ASK FOR $10 FROM EVERYONE TO PAY FOR SHIPPING. EVEN IF ONE MILLION PEOPLE SENT $10 THAT WOULD BE 10 MILLION. WHO ARE THEY KIDDING? 10 MILLION TO SHIP RICE?? I DON'T THINK SO!!!!! I WONDER HOW MANY PEOPLE FELL FOR THAT GIMMICK???
