James... you are correct!!! the brisket was wonderful but the funny thing is, I ordered it before I realized it was what you ALWAYS talk about. My brother had the corned beef and that looked wonderful also. yummy!! have to go back there again.

Now you know why I keep talking about it!!! I was talking to my friend from Florida last night, and she was just happy as anything to be able to find a Knish down there yesterday (in Publixx supermarket if anyone wants to know)... another reason that i could never live down there (other than the monster bugs and heat of course LOL)

I'm jealous, the last time I went to Katz's was in the early 70's. I bet it hasn't changed much except for the prices.

Thanks Barb, I am pretty excited about this trip. Tried to get mom to come with us but they will be leaving shortly after for myrtle beach for the month so she passed this time.


Herb I can't tell you how the prices were because my big brother treated ;D I do recall the bill being pretty high though. It was a nice treat!!

I'd kill for a hot pastrami sandwich from there. Up here there is nothing that comes close to a place like Katz's or even the little neighborhood delis we had way back when in the Bronx.
