Reminds me of when we lived in VA five years ago. My wife decided we "needed" a new bedroom set. To me, the one we had was just about ready to start gaining value as antigues. It was only about 30 years old, with the stress marks of only 6-7 moves. To High Point, NC, we went. Three exhausting days of furniture showrooms- nothing she liked. BTW, no night life in High Point that we could find...
Months later, she sees what she wants somewhere locally... at 3X the price .... but I'm worn out.... that stuff has the stress marks of only 2 moves so far... no character yet.
